South Woodford Electronics Ltd was established in1973 to meet a market demand for cable preparation, PCB assembly and general assembly of electronic equipment.
Our manufactured products can be found in the automotive, communications, medical, military industry as well as domestic appliances, lighting, and fire detection.
We specialise in a wide range of cable assemblies, from complex harnesses and looms to simple cut, strip and crimping of wires. We provide high quality soldering expertise on PCB’s and complex multipole and radio frequency connectors. In additional to providing just loose wires, we also provide a procurement and kitting service, to the full assembly of all electronic equipment.
Since this time the company has expanded to over 10,000 sq feet and is now based in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. Ideally located for easy access to the M1, M11 M25 and A1M road networks, serving the whole of the UK.
Our facilities now include 2 Komax 40T cut, strip and crimp machines with electronic crimp force monitoring. We also have many additional crimp semi automatic tools for specific manufacturers i.e. Cembre, FCI, JST, Molex, Hirose, Takbro, Tyco and Utilux.
In addition we also have 3 Schleuniger 9500 power stripping machines and Ubank 8000 wire processing machine for all cable preparation ranging from 2AWG – 24AWG.
South Woodford has a commitment to meet and beat customers’ expectations and recognised that quality control is central to all its manufacturing processes. In line with this the company holds ISO 9001:2000 approval, UL and CSA approvals for wire preparation.
